Problem Note 62392: The LEAVE and CONTINUE statements generate errors when they are used with PROC FCMP

DetailsAboutRate It

The LEAVE and CONTINUE statements generate the following error when they are used with PROC FCMP:

ERROR 180-322: Statement is not valid or it is used out of proper order.

This issue is corrected in the fourth maintenance release of SAS® 9.4 (TS1M4).

To circumvent this issue, use a DO UNTIL loop. When the condition is met and you want to leave the loop, set the condition that satisfies the UNTIL and terminate the loop. Here is an example:

leave=0;
do until(leave>0);
   qwe+1;
   output;
   if qwe > 10 then leave=1;
end;
